Peer Review Process

The Peer Review Process for the Voice of Doctors Journal follows the steps outlined below:

Submission: Manuscripts are submitted through an online system.

Initial Assessment: The journal’s editorial office conducts an initial assessment of the submitted manuscript to ensure that the files are complete and that the relevant metadata are in order.

Assignment: The manuscript is assigned to an Academic Editor with relevant subject expertise.

Peer Review: The Academic Editor invites a number of potential reviewers to provide a peer-review report on the manuscript. The reviewers provide their feedback on the manuscript to the Academic Editor.

Recommendation: Based on the feedback from the reviewers, the Academic Editor makes one of the following recommendations:

  1.  Reject: If the Academic Editor determines that the manuscript is unsuitable for publication, the authors are sent the review reports received, and their manuscript is rejected.
  2. Consider after Major Changes: If the Academic Editor recommends making major changes to the manuscript, the authors are notified to prepare and submit an updated version of their manuscript. The revised manuscript is then reassessed by one or more of the original reviewers before the Academic Editor makes a new recommendation.
  3. Consider after Minor Changes: If the Academic Editor recommends making minor changes to the manuscript, the authors are notified to prepare and submit a final copy of their manuscript with the required changes suggested by the reviewers. Once the Academic Editor is satisfied with the final manuscript, they can recommend publishing the manuscript unaltered.
  4. Publish Unaltered: If the Academic Editor recommends publishing the manuscript unaltered, the manuscript undergoes a final check by the journal’s editorial office to ensure adherence to the journal’s guidelines and policies.

Acceptance: Once the manuscript is approved, the authors are notified of its acceptance for publication in the journal.

This process ensures that all manuscripts submitted to the Voice of Doctors Journal undergo a rigorous and fair review process, and only the highest quality manuscripts are accepted for publication.
